I got my accounting degree because I was afraid of not finding a job after college—and because it was hard for others but came naturally to me. My someday retirement job is becoming an accounting professor. But for now, I'm doing something different.

Most of my last 10 years has been in "front of house" roles—anything where you talk to people. Sales is just education. I tell people about accounting, why they need it, and how it works.

What I really love is helping other accounting firms. The biggest thing? They need help with everything. My strategy: take the best of sales, tech, and process operations from the startups I've worked in and apply them to traditional accounting firms.
